Assistant Commercial Manager

A leading Hong Kong main contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take the role of Assistant Commercial Manager on a large MTR project in Hong Kong. This is a site based role working alongside the Commercial Manager acting as the number 2 commercial representative for the project.

HK$billion civil engineering project in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties

•  Work directly and assist the Commercial Manager in all project commercial matters
•  Assist in the management of the Commercial team
•  Take a lead role in contract administration
•  Handle claims preparation when required
•  Provide commercial and legal/ arbitration advice
•  Handle contractual issues and strategic management of the project

Desired Skills and Experience

•  Track record of working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or higher grade
•  Main contractor experience is preferred
•  MTR/Civil Engineering project experience is preferred
•  Staff management experience is an advantage
•  Strong leadership skills
•  Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
•  Professional membership such as MRICS, MHKIS is preferred
